I had to play this my freshman year, and I barely survived. Its a beautiful peice, don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy it. But I play the flute, and those 8th and 16th note runs with no rests for like a dozen or more measures nearly killed 14 year old me 😭

Played lead trumpet for this piece in HS 26 years ago and it was my SHIIIT.. Still gives me chills and can still remember the taste of the brass from my horn.
